B-29 Fifi

Flight on Fifi, the sole remaining airworthy B-29. The Superfortress was the plane that dropped the atom bombs, not Fifi, but two aircraft from the same production run. Look closely at the navigator's "office" and you'll see the actual bombadier-signed map of the Hiroshima bombing mission. My flight went west to the Coast, north to beyond Mugu, and looped east and south back to Van Nuys. Fifi was built in May 1945 and was dispatched to the Pacific Theater but she never was in combat.
