Japanese Garden
A 6½ acre Japanese garden, built in 1984 as a demonstration that reclaimed water is suitable for a fragile environment. All of the water is recycled from the adjacent Tillman Water Reclamation Plant (read sewage processing). Except for an occasional breeze from the southeast, the air is entirely odor free, and the lakes, rills, and all water elements are home to many species of birds and fish. The garden is among the finest examples of Japanese gardens in the world.
