  • Waiting for the ferry to Victoria. Waiting for ferries is a career in BC. The Vancouver to Victoria ferry carries 600 cars plus a dozen semis and "large" vehicles. The ferry fares are not high at all considering the task, but refreshments/meals are astronomical.

  • VICTORIA, BC Population 80,000
  • Around the corner from our hotel, the Empress is theeeee hotel of Victoria, maybe all of British Columbia, possibly all of Canada.
  • Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (the name of this building), it has Canada geese on the lawns, as well as a WWI monument (expanded to include WWII, Korea, and Afganistan), and a very nice totem pole. It dominates the south side on the Inner Harbor. (The Empress Hotel dominates the east side.)
