  • Dead Sea Spa, Dead Sea in the middleground, Jordan at the far shore. The Dead Sea is where Sodom and Gomorrah were, where Jesus was Baptized (at the north end, where the River Jordan feeds into the Sea, which is really a lake), where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, and it is the lowest place on earth (1,300' below sea level). The water is 30% salt vs. the Pacific's 4%, so just about anything will float in it.
